Our Wedding

We met back when it was hard to meet people - the pandemic. First online. Then socially distanced. And soon not so socially distanced. At times we quarantined together, other times we stirred up drama with our housemates simply going on a date. All the while knowing that what we had between us was something truly special and worth fighting for.While we may be quite different on a surface level, we are connected by a shared ambition to take a big slice out of life. Even during the initial probationary year Eru imposed on Nick before we went from “just dating” to “officially being boyfriends”, thinking about our life together came easily. We’ve found genuine and unconditional support in one another in our ambitions to travel the world, to strive for excellence in our careers, and especially when we feel like throwing on a pair of heels and lip syncing the house down boots.Our first trip to Italy became the inspiration for the life that we live today. It was here that Eru awakened as a fashion designer, and Nick learned how to live more in the present. Italy is where we find magic, love, and new beginnings. It is our sincerest pleasure to share it all with you on our wedding day in Siena, Italy.

For the true essence to represent our union.Coordinated, cohesive, and unified.We would love for our guest to don their chic all black outfit. Extra points for gold jewelry! All black meaning, please try not to mix other colors even for shoes included as much as possible will surely be appreciated. Tips on how to make an all black attire celebratory and not so boring: Play with textures or patterns	Easy go to would be matching your favorite black pantsuit pants with a fun textured top or a pattern/fringe/pleats. Even a peplum top! Try not mixing white to your attireEspecially for men, matching a black suit with white shirt instantly makes it funeral/basic. Just easy route, pair it with a black button down or even a shirt with black mandarin collar and even skip the tie if you feel fitting will instantly make the look effortlessly stylish. Accessorize!A sheer glove, opaque or sheer black stockings, or a black thin scarf will elevate your look. Dress to impress! Don't worry, we won't be outshone ;)Be extra! This is also celebration of queerness and allyship! Feel free to dress how you would want whether it be feminine, masculine or anything in between or outside thereof. We wanted to travel and see how we were as a new couple, because you know there are many things that we learn from each other when traveling together. Since Eru had never been to Europe before, we went out and booked the cheapest flight and we ended up in Italy. It turned out better than we expected, especially for Eru where he discovered his real passion and calling which is fashion and it inspired him to take that leap.We would like to share the beauty of taking ourselves to a different world to our family and loved ones (give you an excuse to travel). To explore and experience a different culture full of history that we have only know from school and media. We think Italy is the best place to start. Seeing and feeling it up close opens up your mind to a while new world.

Why Italy?

General Travel Suggestion

When flying in, consider giving yourselves a day to adjust to the time zone. We are in Italy! If you have not visited before, we highly recommend budgeting a few days before or after our celebration to have your own adventure. We suggest flying into Florence (Amerigo Vespucci Airport, FLR) or Rome (Leonardo da Vinci International Airport, FCO). To get to Siena, we recommend 1. Travel by train: 1.5hr ride from Florence and 4hr from Rome. 2. Travel by rental car: ~1hr drive from Florence and ~3hr from Rome. While train is our preferred mode of travel while in Italy, we've found car rental pricing very reasonable. If you choose to drive, please note that the city center of Siena is blocked off for pedestrian traffic only. There are rental drop off areas just outside of Siena where you can deposit your car. Please reach out to us for more advice on making this trip.

Accomodations

We ask our guests to stay within the city of Siena. We highly recommend staying within the pedestrian only area of the city where there are many hotels and bnb options available. We will also provide a shuttle service to transport our guests each day from Siena to our celebration locations.

Shuttle Pick Up

The shuttle will pick up in this <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/owryvymaVneedpDd6?g_st=ic" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">location</a>. Please plan your lodging accordingly. Easiest would be somewhere near the shuttle pick up location, but a better experience would be to stay closer to the Piazza Del Campo (it will just take a bit more effort to go to the shuttle pick up location, but you get to explore the pedestrian area of Siena easily!) There will be taxis running that can easily drop you here and take you back to your lodging at night. To book a taxi, visit<a href="https://www.taxisiena.it/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Taxi Siena</a> -or- Download the <a href="https://www.free-now.com/uk/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Freenow app</a> which functions like uber within Italy, it books local taxis for you with fixed rate. Uber also still works in Italy, but it's less common in Siena.

Activity Suggestions

Siena has many activities to do! Besides all the deeply historical locations, tours and things to see. Exploring the inner city will take a good day or two already, but if you wanna go extra like us... Our go to spot to see is through Airbnb experiences.Heres our recommendation, keep in mind that prices varies and might change. Tuscany Wine and Olive oil tasting You can't go to Tuscany and not do what it's actually known for! Even if you are not a wine drinker or lover, it's still such an experience. If it's paired with olive oil tasting.. we definitely would love to hear your experience on that! Truffle hunting | Upon availabilityThis is such a unique experience! Italian OperaItaly is known for its impactful history in Opera. This is such a beautiful experience and such cultural immersion that may bring out a newfound appreciation for the art. Plus you know it's legit! Booking a photographer + tour This is why Nick and Eru have so many nice photos! For the couples, for the families and even for the soloist, the best way to commemorate your trip is to have that photoshoot fantasy. Plus it usually comes with a mini tour with a local photographer. These pictures might come in handy in the future!
